ROMANIA Finance Monthly CFO Awards 2018 About Savvas Charalambous Savvas Charalambous is an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Alexandrion Group a diversified Group of Companies mainly focused in the Spirits and Wine Business but also in Tourism and Hospitality Sector. Savvas holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants and holds a certification from Chartered Institute of Security and Investments in Cyprus. With over 12 years of experience in the Accounting and Finance sector, Savvas joined Alexandrion Group, the spirits market leader in Romania, as a Chief financial officer in 2016. Prior to joining Alexandrion Group he spent 2 years in a Regulated Investment Firm in Cyprus holding again the role of Chief Financial Officer and prior to that he spent another 8 years with KPMG. Savvas oversees all financial and controlling aspects of Alexandrion Group and plays significant role in formulating the Company’s future direction by participating in key decisions of the Group as part of the of Board of Directors, designing reliable controls systems and mitigating key elements of the Company’s risk profile. He was instrumental in the Restructuring of the Group for allowing the business to grow globally and had an enhanced involvement in strategic acquisitions that transformed the Group from a local player to an international spirit producer.
