SWIGER Originally from Washington, D.C., Andrew Swiger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, prior to joining the company in 1978 as an operations engineer in Morgan City, Louisiana. Mr. Swiger initially progressed through a series of upstream and corporate assignments around the world. He moved to the downstream in 1996, serving as general manager at the company’s Jurong refinery and petrochemical plant in Singapore. In 1999, he returned to the upstream as president and general manager of Mobil Oil Canada, prior to being appointed corporate production advisor at ExxonMobil’s headquarters in Irving, Texas. In 2001, Mr. Swiger moved to London as production vice president for Africa, and in 2003 he was appointed production vice president for the Europe/Caspian/Russia region. Mr. Swiger was named executive vice president of ExxonMobil Production Company in 2004. He served in that capacity until being named president of ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing in 2006, a position he held until being elected senior vice president of the corporation in 2009. He was appointed as Principal Financial Officer for the corporation in 2013. Mr. Swiger is a director of the United Negro College Fund, a member of the Board of Governors for the Colorado School of Mines Foundation, a director of the U.S.-China Business Council and a director of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council. He is also a member of the Executive Board for the Circle Ten Council, Boy Scouts of America and serves as a member of the Center for Strategic and International Studies Advisory Board (CSIS).
